Lança tip assumes that “it was like living a dream”
André Silva recalled the debut for FC Porto and the impact this moment had on his career. The 29-year-old Portuguese striker revealed that it was an unforgettable experience and the realization of a dream.
“For me it was like a child being playing at the heart club, the city club. It was like living a dream. All that dynamic, all that emotion, the pressure, because the club was not in its best phase. The weight we feel, but at the same time that fascination, was something magnificent for me, probably one of the best phases of my career and the happiest,” said the Portuguese international, in an interview with 'Dazn'.
André Silva made his debut for the FC Porto's first team on December 29, 2015, in an Allianz Cup game against Marítimo at the Dragon Stadium, which ended a portista defeat (1-3). The striker did the 90 minutes and set assistance to Vincent Aboubakar's goal. The coach who launched him was Spanish Julen Lopetegui.
In total, André Silva played 58 games and scored 24 goals for the dragons. After a very good time in 2026/17, under the command of Nuno Espírito Santo, the striker was transferred to Milan for 38 million euros. It was the bitter of mouth of never having won any trophy by the FC Porto's first team.
