36 -year -old manager was in the Portugal League and will “continue” the work of Nuno Moura
João Medeiros Cardoso is the new responsible of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) for the areas of marketing, commercial and new business, the body led by Pedro Proença said on Wednesday.
The 36-year-old manager succeeds Nuno Moura, whose departure was made official on Monday. João Medeiros Cardoso will also “ensure the relationship with the institution's business partners”, explains the FPF note, adding: “In a new era of the Portuguese Football Federation, which is intended to be marked by a new business vision and projection of the FPF brand, making it an exemplary management model and one of the major football brands in the world, João Medeiros Cardos Internationalization strategy of the Portuguese Football Federation, two of the axes assumed as priority of the programmatic plan presented by Pedro Proença. ”
Degree in Management and Master in Marketing from ISCTE-IUL, João Medeiros Cardoso worked at Central Beers-Heineken Group (2010 to 2019) and Portugal League (2019 to 2025).
In the same note, the FPF highlighted the “excellent work developed” by Nuno Moura, who leaves “public thanks for the dedication always demonstrated throughout his connection with the FPF”.
