Captain America, a superhero created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, made his debut in the comics in 1941. Squarzoni felt fascination with Mexico after visiting Chiapas between 1997 and 1998 as a human rights observer. Fruit of this visit was also published the book Zapata in times of war. The author's vision was to portray Marcos fighting capitalism portrayed by the United States through Captain America. The comic had a relaunch in 2012, according to the anecdote in A magazine.
The details regarding this confrontation between these two figures, such as the plot and its circumstances, are not known in detail because the information about this work is limited.
