Flamengo defeated Caxias do Sul 98 to 52, away from home, and opened 1-0 in the best of five of the round of 16 NBB. The victory on Wednesday came just four days after the Champions League Americas was won.
Second placed in the regular phase of NBB, Flamengo faces the 15th place in Caxias in search of closing the confrontation in Rio de Janeiro. The red-black was dominant and referred the classification to the quarterfinals.
Now, the next two games in the series take place at the Tijuca Tennis Club gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro: Sunday (27), 11am (Brasilia), and Tuesday (29), at 20h. If necessary, games 4 and 5 will take place on May 2 and 4, respectively.
