André Silva was one of the authors of the goals of São Paulo in the 2-0 win over Libertad on Wednesday in Paraguay, for the third round of the group stage of Liberators. The striker, however, acknowledged that he could have had even better performance if he had not wasted a “goal” at the beginning of the game.
“I had the unhappiness in the first move, I had to score, I'm here for that. I take responsibility, but I beat the whole game to make the goal. I want to continue like this, giving joy to my companions, the club, the fans and my family. It was a difficult game, the face of Sao Paulo.
This Wednesday's goal was the eighth of André Silva for Sao Paulo this season. The striker is the team's top scorer in 2025 and has three consecutive games shaking the nets.
